The Florida Keys Council of the Arts reminds artists and arts organizations of the following grant application deadlines:

Cultural Umbrella: Wednesday, May 22. Tourist Development Council Cultural Umbrella funding up to $25,000 per application is for the promotion of arts and culture events in 2002-03. This is a receipt deadline: applications must be delivered to the arts council office, 1100 Simonton St., Key West, before 5 p.m. on May 22. Late applications will not be accepted.

Artists in Schools: Friday, May 31. Artists in Schools funding up to $1,000 for the 2002-03 school year is available for an artist and a teacher working together to enhance the existing curriculum. May 31 is a postmark deadline. (The next AIS deadline is Saturday, November 30.)

ArtReach: Sunday, June 30. ArtReach funding up to $1,000 per six-month project (or, for a performance project, $1,000 per performer) enables an artist to expand his or her traditional audience by partnering with a community business or organization. June 30 is a postmark deadline. (The next ArtReach deadline is Tuesday, December 31.)
