Shirley Freeman and Joyce Stahl invite you to lunch and
entertainment in their homes to support Dance Scholarships awarded by
the Florida Keys Council of the Arts.
On Friday March 4, luncheon will be served in Ms. Stahl's tropical
garden at 727 Eaton St. Afterward, guests will move across the street
to Shirley Freeman's ballroom for a peek at "Nutcracker Key West,"
slated for December 2005. Dances from Act 1 will be performed.
On Friday, April 8, lunch in Ms. Stahl's garden will precede a discussion
of the history, development, and construction of costumes for dance
by Angela Whitehill, founder of Burklyn Ballet and former head of wardrobe
for Atlanta Ballet. Using examples from her costume storerooms, and
Ms. Stahl's, dancers will perform in various types of costumes in Shirley
Freeman's ballroom.
A single ticket is $30. Seating is limited. Call
the Council of the Arts @ 295-4369 for more information and to make
your reservations NOW.
