The
Florida Keys Council of the Arts, Monroe County Tourist Development
Council, Tinsley Advertising and the Cultural Umbrella of the Florida
Keys & Key West are calling artists to submit artwork for the
Culture 2008 magazine.
Artists
will receive a byline with their name and gallery affiliation or other
contact information. Additionally, the cover artists will receive
$750.00 for one-time usage in Culture 2008. Artwork and bios must be
submitted by March 23, 2007 in order to be considered for usage.
This year's Culture topics are:
- Performing Arts:
highlighting new venues such as the Islamorada Amphitheatre and notable
productions involving famous names within all of the Keys (Key Largo,
Islamorada, Marathon, Big Pine Key and Key West).
- Forts and State Parks:
highlighting Forts and State Parks within all of the Keys. For
example, Bahia Honda State Park, Dagny Johnson Key Largo Hammock
Botanical State Park, Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park, Indian
Key State Historic Site and John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park and
Fort Jefferson.
