The Florida Keys Council of the Arts will host a workshop on August 17 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gato Building, 1100 Simonton Street, Key West, for artists interested in applying for the fellowships. Rem Cabrera, chief of cultural development for Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, will answer questions and provide information about the award program. The $15,000 fellowship is the largest such award provided by local arts agencies in the United States for mid-career artists.
