Color, pattern & light are a constant inspiration to me. I interpret & express what I see; not copy. My style would be called American Impressionism which allows the viewer to participate. Plein air is how I love to paint as it gives me a special relationship with atmosphere, color, light and the environment. Plein air offers the challenge the quick changing light which fascinates me. Capturing the natural beauty of nature in the changing light is a fun and rewarding challenge. It is a joy to capture scenes and nature with a sense of spontaneity. Over 90% of my work is plein air.
