By Member's Request: Photographing Art Workshop
The Council announced a two-day workshop by Barry Fitzgerald on photographing artwork for grant applications and competitions, held April 14 and 28.
The Monroe Council of the Arts will sponsor a special two-day workshop by Barry Fitzgerald on how to photograph artwork on Saturday, April 14, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., and Saturday, April 28, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., at the Key West Art Center, 301 Front St. The cost is $100, or only $75 to Arts Council members!
On day one Mr. Fitzgerald will cover basic principles of photography, shooting artwork, and resources for film and equipment. On day two he will critique, evaluate, and discuss participants' assignments and conduct shoot sessions with a running tutorial and Q&A. This workshop is a must for any artist applying for grants and entering competitions: don't miss this important opportunity to hone your presentation skills!
