Arts council grant deadlines
The Council reminded artists and organizations of its Cultural Umbrella, Artists in Schools and ArtReach grant deadlines in May and June 2002.
The Florida Keys Council of the Arts reminds artists and arts organizations of the following grant application deadlines:
Cultural Umbrella: Wednesday, May 22. Tourist Development Council Cultural Umbrella funding up to $25,000 per application is for the promotion of arts and culture events in 2002-03. This is a receipt deadline:
applications must be delivered to the arts council office, 1100 Simonton St., Key West, before 5 p.m. on May 22. Late applications will not be accepted.
Artists in Schools: Friday, May 31. Artists in Schools funding up to $1,000 for the 2002-03 school year is available for an artist and a teacher working together to enhance the existing curriculum. May 31 is a postmark deadline. (The next AIS deadline is Saturday, November 30.)
ArtReach: Sunday, June 30. ArtReach funding up to $1,000 per six-month project (or, for a performance project, $1,000 per performer) enables an artist to expand his or her traditional audience by partnering with a community business or organization. June 30 is a postmark deadline. (The next ArtReach deadline is Tuesday, December 31.)
