Arts Council Grant Deadlines
The Council reminded artists and cultural organizations of spring 2004 application deadlines for Artists in Schools, ArtReach and Cultural Umbrella funding.
The Florida Keys Council of the Arts reminds all artists and cultural organizations of the upcoming grant application deadlines. Eligible art forms include visual, performing, literary, cultural and historical arts and their display.
Artists in Schools: Monday, May 31 . Artists in Schools funding up to $1,000 for the 2004-05 school year is available for an artist and a teacher working together to enhance the existing curriculum. May 31 is a postmark deadline.
ArtReach: Wednesday, June 30 . ArtReach funding up to $1,000 per project enables an artist or cultural organization to reach a new audience by partnering with a business or organization. June 30 is a postmark deadline.
Cultural Umbrella: Friday, May 28 . Tourist tax funding up to $25,000 per application is for the promotion of cultural events in 2004-05. This is a receipt deadline: applications must be delivered to the arts council office, 1100 Simonton St., Key West, before 5 p.m. on May 28. Late applications will not be accepted.
