The Miami Acting Company announced six spring 2010 performances of Mel Brooks' musical The Producers at the Murray E. Nelson Center in Key Largo

Mel Brooks’ hilarious musical, “The Producers” will be presented by the Miami Acting Company on April 23, 24, 25, 30, May 1 and 2 at the Murray E. Nelson Government and Cultural Center at 102250 Overseas Highway, Key Largo, FL. Outrageous, hilarious, a teeny bit offensive, off the wall, and the winner of a record 12 Tony Awards are just a few things that THE PRODUCERS is. The story of Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom attempting to produce a gigantic flop entitled “Springtime for Hitler” is becoming a classic in musical theatre. The production is produced and directed by Debra Ginsberg, musical directed by Randy Lichtman, and includes a cast of over 25 actors and 13 musicians. The Miami Acting Company is a not-for profit community theatre that seeks to promote awareness and appreciation of the performing arts in South Florida through the presentation of live theatrical performances. In addition, the organization is dedicated to the support of philanthropic causes. Since its formation in 2005, Miami Acting Company’s productions have included “CATS.” “Company” and “A Chorus Line.” The group is excited about their new home in Key Largo at the Murray E. Nelson Government and Cultural Center, which was recently built to promote the arts to the Florida Keys. They are also grateful for the donations received from the Ocean Reef Foundation which provided a professional lighting system and other theatrical accoutrements will enhance the audience’s enjoyment of many upcoming productions including “The Producers”.
