Elizabeth Young reaches 10 year milestone as Executive Director of Art Council

The Council marked Elizabeth Young's tenth year as executive director, noting her public art work and her state and regional arts service.

March 3rd marked 10 years for Arts Council Executive Director Elizabeth Young. As Executive Director of the Arts Council since 2008, she serves all the arts, all the Keys, all the time. With a passion for public art, Liz administers both the County and the City of Key West Art in Public Places Programs. Liz has also served as a grant panelist for the State’s Division of Cultural Affairs and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, and presented at the City of Key West’s Ambassador and Leadership Monroe programs. She is also proud to serve as an Executive Officer on the board for the Florida Association of Public Art Professionals, and to serve as Secretary and Board Member to Congregation B’nai Zion. Liz and her husband, Gary with daughters, Emily and Claire enjoy being a part of the vibrant Florida Keys Arts community.
