Mally Weaver

The artist eye has come easily for Mally Weaver. Attracted to the Florida Keys by the stunning color & strong light, she has always been a colorist, even as a student at Temple University, Tyler School of Art. “Some scenes just demand to be captured.” Her early training was in oils & acrylic painting, drawing, design, print making & sculpture - earning degrees in Fine Art, Art Education & Special Ed. When she learned to sail, she incorporated Plein Air watercolor painting. This allowed her the portability & immediacy to capture those “demanding scenes” while traveling. Since then she has joined the Florida Keys Watercolor Society & was awarded the Best of Show in 2005. Her work can be viewed at the following galleries: The Guild Hall Gallery – 614 Duval St.
