NEW ART AT GATO
The Council added Katie Truax's steel sculpture Fusion #1 to the revolving art exhibit in the Gato Building lobby.
Katie Truax’s reclaimed steel sculpture "Fusion #1" is the latest addition to the revolving art exhibit at the historic Gato Building, 1100 Simonton Street, Key West. The public is welcome to view the exhibition from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is sponsored by the Florida Keys Council of the Arts as part of the Art in Public Buildings program which includes a variety of public offices and buildings throughout the Florida Keys. The exhibits in each building are maintained by a volunteer curator with the assistance of Arts Council staff.
